Kampong Cham Province

Kampong Cham is the capital of the area of the same name and the third biggest city in Cambodia. With its Mekong River area and generally close closeness to Phnom Penh (123km) and Vietnam, Kampong Cham has dependably been a critical exchange and transportation center. The expressway from Phnom Penh is in phenomenal condition-you can arrive in just shy of two hours by street or by the shot vessels that are a principle method of transportation between towns on the Mekong River. Whichever way it's a pleasant side, with perspectives of the provincial farmland or stream range, contingent upon which way you go.

The town itself is interesting and enchanting with its clamoring morning waterway scene and wide lane avenues alongside the stream. There are a couple of advantageous attractions adjacent and with it's area in transit by watercraft or street to Kratie, Mondulkiri, Rattanakiri and Stung Treng Provinces; it's a decent bounce off point. Kampong Cham is a blend of the old and the new, with another sanctuary being implicit and around old vestiges and the huge ship pontoons taking individuals and merchandise to the opposite side of the Mekong, right beside the development of the primary extension ever worked here.

Since there is minimal outside speculation and no huge tourism (verging on each outsider who comes here is a hiker), this city is entirely poor with a couple of present day structures, however not ailing in French engineering from the provincial time frame. It is like numerous other Cambodian urban areas, being fairly grimy, with refuse a typical sight. The general population of Kampong Cham are amicable and open to connecting with vacationers. On the off chance that late undertakings appear to enhance the condition of things here (in respect to other Cambodian urban areas), recall that both PM Hun Sen and previous Phnom Penh Governor Chea Sophara are initially from this region.
